This one of a kind art glass mushroom necklace was meticulously hand painted using fine brushes and multiple layers of glass enamel, then kiln-fired four separate times to create exceptional depth and permanence. A painted layer on the back of the glass enhances the sense of dimension, allowing the imagery to shift subtly with the light.

🎨 Process:
My jewelry-making process begins with painting each design directly onto the surface of the glass. The piece is then kiln-fired at temperatures up to 1500°F. This necklace was fired four separate times, with painting between firings to build depth and detail. After the final firing, the glass is carefully shaped and cold-worked using diamond abrasives. A small groove is ground along the edge of the glass to securely seat the wire setting.
