🕷️ Hand-Painted Enamel Glass Spider Necklace, One of a Kind

This unique art glass spider necklace was meticulously hand painted using fine brushes and glass enamels, then kiln-fired to permanently fuse the imagery into the glass. Multiple painted layers and firings are used to achieve subtle depth and detail, creating a delicate, specimen-like appearance suspended within clear glass.

🕷️ Each necklace is individually painted and truly one of a kind. This piece is perfect for lovers of nature, entomology, gothic and dark cottagecore aesthetics, and those drawn to unusual, thoughtfully crafted wearable art.

✨ Glass: Hand-painted glass enamels on clear art glass
📏 Size: Approximately 20mm wide x 33mm tall, including the bail

🌿 Chain: Antiqued brass chain (see photos for chain style reference)

🖤 Materials: Antiqued brass plated wire and chain, nickel-free

🎨 Process:
My jewelry-making process begins with painting the design directly onto the surface of the glass. Once complete, the piece is kiln-fired at temperatures up to 1500°F to permanently fuse the enamel. After firing, the glass is shaped and cold-worked using diamond abrasives. A small groove is carefully ground along the edge of the glass using a diamond disk, creating a secure channel for the wire setting.

Each necklace is packaged in a Weathered Heather Jewelry box, wrapped in tissue paper and ready for gifting.

🗒️ Please Note:
Small bubbles visible within the glass are known as “champagne bubbles” and are a natural characteristic of kiln-formed glass. Measurements are approximate. Colors may vary slightly due to monitor settings.
